2020 Salvation Army Report

2020 marked many sorrows, sacrifices and challenges. Though the long
pandemic nightmare, the Topeka Salvation Army provided essential
services AND reached out to our community in new ways:

2020 saw the grand opening of three shields boxing academy:  a
cooperative after-school program with law enforcement and first
responders mentoring kids 4 and up
The pandemic didn’t stop food distribution outside and inside the
corps. With the help of Harvesters, hundreds of pounds of food were
delivered. Our after school program ramped up with the addition of archery for
children from first to fifth grades:

With the help of divisional headquarters, an after-school  music
program was added this year.

We continue to grow our services even during these dark times…but our
kettles remain less than full. That’s where we need YOU to step in and
help close the gap.

Because when this is all over… the needs remain and the Salvation Army will be ready; doing the most good.
